WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — A Wayne County teenage is no longer accused of plotting to kill her parents after a judge dismissed charges against her.
In a plea deal, the judge in the case dropped two counts of solicitation to commit murder charges against Heather Johnson.
Authorities initially said Johnson stole a gun from a home on April 12 and later asked two of her friends to use the firearm to kill her parents.
As part of the plea agreement Johnson admitted she took the gun.
She is now serving a two-month jail sentence.
