Fayetteville Police Say Shots Fired Into Car With Children Inside

print friendly

Police want to know who fired several shots into a car full of children in Fayetteville Sunday night.

Five people, including three children, were in a car on Murchison Road when it was hit by bullets.

Police said the driver sped away, caused two minor accidents and kept going.

One of the hit-and-run victims followed the car to a parking lot and noticed the driver had been shot in the side, police said.

A young girl in the first car was injured, but it is not known if she was struck by a bullet or by glass.

Police are still looking for the shooter.
