Man Charged With Ex-Girlfriend's Rape Released From Jail

Raleigh, N.C. — A man accused of raping and kidnapping his former girlfriend at gunpoint is free.

Bruce Parrish recently pleaded guilty to a lesser charge after the victim told police the sex was consensual.

Parrish was sentenced to 36 months' probation and will not receive any jail time.

Raleigh police say Parrish forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's home in July and kidnapped her. Investigators said the two were later found at a Raleigh motel.

Parrish, who is distinguished by a series of dots tattooed on his face, has faced numerous charges in the past, including breaking-and-entering and possession of stolen goods.

You people are pathetic. So quick to judge, so narrow-minded. Just because he has tattoos on his face, makes him instantly a physco? For all you know he could be a VERY well known and talented tattoo artist. His 'ex girlfriend' could have been his 'ex fiancé'. They got into a fight, broke up, he tried to change her mind, she wanted nothing to do with him. Blah blah blah.. You know the story, she wants to get back at him, files false charges, then regrets it in the end. Bruce is a wonderful person, very kind and seemingly misunderstood. Get a life and open your eyes. Don't judge people based on bias ideas that have no thought or intelligence behind them. It just shows the type of people you are, either stuck in the past and not aware of the here and now, or just plain idiotic and speaking through your behinds; Unaware of the thing inside of your head we have learned to call a brain.

The VICTIM/ex-girlfriend tells the police AFTER the ACCUSED/ex-boyfriend is arrested that the sex was CONSENSUAL-meaning agreed to by both parties...So it's NOT a rape. Duh huh...she should have been charged with filing a false police report period. If the justice system would follow the LAW, a lot of this BS would not be there tying up the courts & wasting our tax paying dollars!
