FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Tuesday is the deadline for lawyers in the Fayetteville annexation case to file their written arguments with the state Court of Appeals.
Three groups are still fighting the city. They want to stop Fayetteville from going through with its biggest annexation ever.
The city took in 42,000 Cumberland County residents in July, but less than a week later, the state Supreme Court issued a stay and ordered the Court of Appeals to hear the case.
