Missing Henderson Woman Sought

HENDERSON, N.C. — Police in Henderson are stepping up efforts to find a missing woman.

Katie Poythress, 87, has not been seen since Saturday. Her family says she needs medication daily and does not have any with her.

Her car, a light blue, 4-door, 1988 Toyota Camry with North Carolina license plate

DZL-6697

, is also missing.

Police officers handed out informational flyers seeking information from the public. They also searched by air for Poythress.

Anyone who has information about Poythress or her car are asked to call Henderson police at (252) 438-4142.
