SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — Court records show a Sampson County mother charged in the accidental death of her infant had a prior criminal record.
Keila Tonge was convicted of exposing her children to fire in Harnett County three years ago.
Tonge was arrested last week after her 8-month-old daughter drowned in a bathtub at her home.
She is charged with involuntary manslaughter and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
