RALEIGH, N.C. — A former Dorothea Dix employee who was charged with child abuse agreed to a lesser charge on Tuesday.
William Hahn pleaded guilty to simple assault. Hahn is one of three Dix employees arrested recently for incidents involving young patients. He later resigned.
Hahn was sentenced to a week in jail and one year of unsupervised probation. He also has to pay court costs.
