Chapel Hill Woman Killed in Freak Accident
Chapel Hill, N.C. — A 49-year-old Chapel Hill woman was killed Thursday morning when she was pinned in her car door as the vehicle struck, police said.
Stephanie Marcheschi of 8514 Seawell School Road opened the door of her minivan and leaned out while it was running and in gear shortly after 7 a.m., police said. The minivan ran off her driveway to the left and struck a tree, and she was pinned between the door and body of the vehicle, police said.
