Wilson's Mills Facing Bureaucratic Challenge

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wilson's Mills is a little Johnston County community facing some big bureaucratic challenges.

The town hall has no town employees. Two of Wilson's Mills' employees quit on the same day earlier in September.

"It didn't throw us or anything," Mayor Pattie Caddell said.

The town hired a temporary clerk who has been busy keeping an eye on town issues.

"It's been interesting. Everyday, I find something else I don't know," town clerk Ella Ensign said.

Wilson's Mills is looking for a full-time town clerk and it is looking forward to the town's Pumpkin Festival on Oct. 9.
