CIAA Tournament Bids Due On Monday

RALEIGH, N.C. — Bids from cities who want to host the CIAA basketball tournament are due on Monday.

Raleigh is up against four other cities, including Charlotte, to host the tournament from 2006 through 2008.

The CIAA wants $600,000 to go toward scholarships.

Raleigh hosted the event in February. It pumped more than $11 million into the local economy.
