DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are getting more bad guys off the street, thanks in part to its
Crimestoppers
program.
So far this year, the program has helped arrest more than 100 suspects, which is triple their past annual average.
Durham Crimestoppers has become more aggressive in getting the word out to the public. The program produces a weekly television show.
Typically, a fugitive profiled on the show is arrested within 48 hours.
