Northgate Mall In Durham To Get Facelift

Posted September 23, 2004

— Northgate Mall in Durham is about to get a multimillion-dollar makeover.

When Belk closes in February, it will be replaced with a 10- to 12-screen movie theater as well as a department store for juniors.

Half of the mall will be torn down and rebuilt as an outdoor shopping center.

The new look for the mall is expected to be completed in October 2005.
