APEX, N.C. — An accident in Apex sent several people to the hospital on Thursday.
A dump truck headed eastbound on Highway 64 crossed the median near Shepard's Vineyard Road and hit a minivan head-on.
The driver of the minivan, a woman and her two children were taken to a hospital. The truck driver and a passenger were also taken to a hospital. There is no word on their conditions.
Investigators say alcohol is suspected in the wreck and multiple charges against the truck driver are expected.
Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Apex Police Department.
