DURHAM, N.C. — Special tributes are planned for a popular coach who died in an accident last week.
Katie McClary was killed after a DATA bus hit her as she crossed the street. McClary, a Duke graduate, was the volleyball and basketball coach at Durham Academy.
On Tuesday, she will be honored at the school's JV volleyball game and during the women's volleyball match at Duke. There is also a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Duke Chapel.
Charges are still pending in the accident.
