RALEIGH, N.C. — Inspectors recently considered some units of Park Hill Apartments in Raleigh as unsafe. The landlord say he wants to remove some of the people before completely conducting repairs.
Officials found a number of fire and safety violations at the apartments, located off Old Milburnie Road. Landlord Mike Mkeshk said outsiders are trying to damage his property and he plans to kick out undesirables until the neighborhood is cleaned up.
"Anybody living here. If I know you are harboring drug dealers or doing drugs, I promise you, I promise you, I promise you, you will be out. You are not going to stay in my neighborhood," Mkeshk said.
Apartment residents say they live in substandard housing that should be fixed immediately.
"[It's] ugly, embarrassing. You don't want anybody to come to your house," resident Jessica Jones said.
According to the Wake County attorney's office, two buildings at the apartments still need work.
