Woman Injured In Harnett Restaurant Crash Doing Better

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman badly hurt in July after a truck barreled through Peggy's Seafood Restaurant in Harnett County is doing much better.

Laura Holder was in a coma for weeks. Now, she is semiconscious at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Holder has major injuries to her back, head and neck. It may be months before she gets out of the hospital.

Dale Hardee, the son of restaurant owner Calvin Hardee, was killed in the accident. Calvin Hardee decided not to rebuild the restaurant. Instead, he plans to open a car wash next door in honor of his son.
