LUMBERTON, N.C. — A toddler was struck and killed by a car Saturday afternoon in Robeson County.
The accident occurred in the Saddletree community, three miles north of Lumberton.
Authorities say a woman got in her car to leave a family gathering and did not notice 13-month-old Kevin Collazo-Castrejon, who walked in front of her car.
Collazo-Castrejon was killed on impact because of trauma to the head. No charges will be filed.
No one else was hurt in the accident.
