Boil-Water Advisory In Effect For Hillsborough Residents

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Parts of Hillsborough are under a boil-water advisory until further notice.

Because of utilities construction on Orange Grove Road, there is a possibility of contamination in some areas due to a loss of pressure in the water system.

The advisory is in effect for the following areas until further notice:

  • Orange Grove Road (South of I-85)
  • Grady Brown School Road
  • Dimmocks Mill Road (South of I-40 only)
  • Old South Drive
  • Timber Oak Drive
  • Arbor Lane
  • Ode Turner Road
  • Immediately surrounding areas south of I-40

    • Customers are advised to boil water before using for drinking, cooking, or other human consumption.

    Officials will be testing the water in the affected areas over the weekend to ensure that any potential threats to the public are eliminated.
