RALEIGH, N.C. — The state Department of Transportation will temporarily close the inside lane of eastbound I-440 from New Bern Avenue to Interstate 40 in Wake County at 8 p.m. Friday.
The lane is scheduled to reopen Monday at 6 a.m.
The closure is necessary for concrete paving as part of the Knightdale Bypass.
Motorists are reminded to watch signs for construction information, stay alert, and obey the posted speed limit.
