State Fair Hopes To Add Second Aiken Concert To Schedule

State Fair officials are negotiating for the Raleigh native to perform a second show.

Tickets for the Oct. 18 concert at Dorton Arena sold out online in 15 minutes last week. The State Fair Web site received about 250,000 hits during that time.

"With [only] 6000 tickets available, we know we had a lot of disappointed fans. We hope that maybe -- we're in talks with his management -- that we can look into having a second show," State Fair spokeswoman Heather Overton said.

State Fair officials hope to have an announcement about a second show in the coming days.
