Johnston Pedestrian Killed

WILSON'S MILLS, N.C. — A man is dead after he was hit by a car in Johnston County Thursday night.

The state Highway Patrol says William Hocutt, 53, of Wilson's Mills, was killed while crossing Highway 70 Bypass near Wilson's Mill Road around 8 p.m.

Speed was not a factor. No charges will be filed against the driver who hit him.
