Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man convicted twice of killing a little girl while driving drunk could get another new sentence based on a complaint with the jury.

Two years ago, a Durham judge sentenced Timothy Blackwell to between 39 and 50 years in prison.

In 1997, Timothy Blackwell killed 4-year-old Megan Dail in a car accident. The first verdict was tossed out by the state Supreme Court.
