RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have charged a woman for the death of her infant.
Police say Susana Bernala Gallardo called 911 overnight for help. When they arrived at her Brentwood Road home, her 2-month-old baby was dead.
Police detectives and the Medical Examiner's Office have determined the cause of death to be the result of blunt force trauma.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
