Durham Police Dog Injured In Line Of Duty

RALEIGH, N.C. — A four-legged Durham officer put a pair of suspected robbers in jail.

Michael Harris and Elijah Lennon face several counts of breaking and entering. Police arrested them while responding to a call about a burglary in progress on Monday.

Harris tried to run away, but "Lars the K-9 cop" caught him and bit him twice.

Lars was slightly injured. He is recovering at a veterinarian hospital in Cary.
