Fire Damage Could Keep Restaurant Closed Until November

RALEIGH, N.C. — It could be the end of the year before a downtown Raleigh restaurant reopens.

Greenshields Brewery & Pub at City Market has been closed since a fire on Aug. 17. Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen ventilation system.

The owner tells WRAL it will be at least the end of November before he can reopen.

He will try to continue his beer-brewing operation while the restaurant is repaired.
