Pittsboro Lifts Boil Water Notice

Posted Updated

PITTSBORO, N.C. — Two days after a water main break forced Pittsboto residents to boil their water, tests show that is no longer necessary.

The town lifted its boil water advisory Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said a 10-inch PVC pipe broke a few blocks from the downtown area on Rectory Road near Salisbury Street late Sunday.

The latest main break is the third for the Chatham County town since May.
