Sleeping Woman Killed By Bullet From Drive-By Shooting

ST. PAULS, N.C. — The Robeson County Sheriff's Office in investigating a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of a woman asleep in her bed.

The Sheriff's Office received a call at 4:05 a.m. Tuesday about a shooting on Great Marsh Church Road in St. Pauls.

The victim, identified as Jennie Revels, 47, was struck in the back by a bullet from a drive-by shooting, according to officials.

The house was struck twice by gunfire, the victim was hit by one of those bullets.

Officials said Revels and her son were the only ones in the home at the time.

There is no description of the suspect or vehicle.
