State Rep. Warner Switches To GOP

RALEIGH, N.C. — Republicans are gaining the advantange in the state House heading into the election season.
State Rep. Alex Warner, of Cumberland County, switched parties Friday after serving nearly two decades as a Democrat.
Warner said state Democrats have become too liberal over the past 20 years.
The change gives Republicans a 62-58 advantage.
Warner lost this year's Democratic primary to Rich Glazier.
