DURHAM, N.C. — A plea deal is on the table for a Durham man accused of killing his wife and dumping her body in Falls Lake.
Prosecutors confirm they have made an offer to Robert Petrick. He is accused of killing former Durham Symphony cellist, Janine Sutphen.
Details of the deal have not been released, but a legal assistant with the district attorney's office said it appears Petrick is not interested.
If Petrick rejects the deal, he would stand trial for first-degree murder.
