WILSON'S MILLS, N.C. — An 11-year-old boy on his way to school was hit by a car in Wilson's Mills Tuesday morning.
Investigators say the boy was riding his bike on Fire Department Road when they say he pulled out in front of a car and the driver did not have time to stop.
Visibility was low in the area Tuesday morning. Officials say a there was heavy fog over the road when the accident happened.
The boy was taken to a local hospital, but does not appear to have serious injuries.
