HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — Heavy rain from the past weekend has taken its toll on a Harnett county road.
A part of State Route 1808 is washed out. The roadway is located near Sadler's Truck Stop near the Harnett County/Johnston County line.
State Department of Transportation crews said they are waiting until the water subsides to conduct repairs. Barrels are currently blocking off the road.
DOT crews heard reports of roadways covered in water in Duplin, Bladen, Hertford and Columbus County on Sunday, but no breaches have been reported.
