Latasha Annette Arrington, 19, died Saturday at WakeMed after being ejected from a moving vehicle Friday night.

According to Raleigh police, a motorist witnessed Arrington being ejected about 8:45 p.m. from the passenger side of a dark-colored two-door automobile with darkly-tinted windows that was turning left onto Seabrook Road from Crosslink Road.

The vehicle from which Arrington had been ejected did not brake and continued to travel down Seabrook Road at a high rate of speed. The witness stopped at the scene, found Arrington to be unresponsive and notified authorities.

At this point, police said, the circumstances that caused Arrington to be ejected from the automobile are not known. Police are attempting to identify and locate the driver of the vehicle to obtain additional information about the incident.

Anyone with information that might be helpful to investigators is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's detective division at

(919) 890-3555.
