PRINCEVILLE, N.C. — People in flood-prone areas are paying close attention to Hurricane Charley.
So far, no evacuations are ordered for the town of Princeville, but some residents said they are moving to higher ground anyway.
"I'm very concerned. We've already packed things we'll need like blankets and clothes and toiletries. We've already made reservation at a hotel," said Yolanda Grant, whose home was flooded in 1999.
In 1999, Hurricane Floyd put most of the town underwater. Officials do not expect levels to get that high this time.
Princeville rescue crews reviewed their evacuation plan Friday in case they have to move people out quickly.
