Wake County investigators have released the vehicle of a man whose wife was killed two months ago.

They confiscated and searched Jason Young’s white Ford Explorer shortly after his pregnant wife, Michelle Young, was found beaten to death Nov. 3 in the couple’s Wake County home.

Late Thursday afternoon, Jason Young’s attorney, Roger Smith, picked up the vehicle for his client from the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators are not calling Jason Young a suspect, but he was one person ordered him to turn over fingerprints shortly after the crime.

Search warrants also say that Jason Young was having a relationship with a woman in Florida and that he was not cooperating with investigators.

Leave the reporters alone!

Yeah WRAL is biased in a lot of the stories they report. This one and the Duke Lacrosse rape case are prime examples of bad journalism.

He had motive, means, and opportunity. How convient, he was 'at his mom's' and his step dad advised him to 'get a lawyer'.

I've thought he was guilty from the start. If he's not, then why won't he talk to the authorities? You would think he would be doing everything he could to find the killer if he's not guilty. Yeah, the whole fax story was what led me to believe it was him.

It was very convenient that he called someone to go to the house to get a fax that evening so his daughter would be found.
