STEDMAN, N.C. — A Cumberland County deputy was involved in a shooting Friday.
The shooting occurred on Highway 210 East, south of the town of Stedman.
Officers say a woman in a blue truck waved down the deputy, then a man in a white pick-up rammed him on purpose.
The deputy fired one shot from his car at the man in the pick-up truck. The man's wounds are not expected to be life-threatening.
State Bureau of Investigation agents are looking into the incident.
