SMITHFIELD, N.C. — Johnston County Schools has confirmed that Marcia Grimsley, a teacher at McGee's Crossroads Elementary School, has been indicted in Virginia for felony criminal charges.
Grimsley was arrested Friday and placed on paid suspension.
School system officials said they could not comment on the charges but that the matter is unrelated to the school system.
