DOBBERSVILLE, N.C. — One person is dead after a traffic accident in Wayne County Thursday night.
Investigators say Ina Harper, 73, crossed the center line while heading east on Highway 55 near Dobbersville just before 10 p.m.
A tractor trailer swerved to miss Harper's vehicle and hit a Nissan Pathfinder head on.
The driver of the Pathfinder was killed and a passenger was taken to a hospital.
Authorities may file charges against Harper.
