<b>TARBORO, N.C.</b> — A suspect in a Tarboro murder surrendered to Edgecombe County deputies Thursday afternoon.

Jesse Wooten was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed in the Edgecombe County Detention Center without bond, and his first court appearance was scheduled for Aug. 10.

Deputies had been look for Wooten in conection with the weekend shooting death of Kelcey Dickens.
