Wilson Police Investigate Robbery, Shooting At Wendy's

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson police are investigating a robbery and shooting at a Wendy's restaurant.

Officers said a black man armed with a handgun approached employees of Wendy's as they were leaving the business after closing. The man reportedly demanded money from the manager and fired several shots.

One woman was shot in the foot. She was later taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.

Officials have not been able to determine how much money was taken during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male that is tall with a thin build. The suspect was wearing dark clothing.
