JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The state Highway Patrol needs help locating a vehicle they say struck and killed a Johnston County woman.
Yvonne Michelle Hocker, 32 of Clayton, was killed on Barber Mill Road in Johnston County Monday evening or early Tuesday morning.
Troopers were called to the scene at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday and located Hocker's body. She was walking along the shoulder or the edge of the roadway when she was struck from behind, officials said.
The vehicle is believed to be burgundy with substantial damage to the right turn signal, headlight and right side view mirror. The radio antenna is also missing.
