RALEIGH, N.C. — Jermaine Johnson, wanted by Raleigh police in connection with a June 27 shooting, was arrested without incident Wednesday morning in Philadelphia.
Johnson was charged with murder in connection with the death of Leonard Bland. The charge stems from a car-to-car shooting that took place in the 3300 block of Capital Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m. June 27.
Members of the Raleigh Police Department's fugitive unit, members of the violent fugitive task forces of the U.S. Marshals Service in Raleigh and Philadelphia, and officers of the Philadelphia Police Department teamed up to make the arrest.
