Former High-School Volunteer Indicted

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County grand jury indicted a former high school volunteer for having sex with two students.

Larry Hougom, 33, is charged with statuatory rape. Investigators said he gave two 15-year-olds alcohol, then had sex with them.

Hougom was a paid volunteer with marching bands at Clayton High School in Johnston County and Athens Drive High School in Raleigh for the past three years.
