Battle Between Hot Dog Vendors Turns Into Price War

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A war for prime spots near the state Legislative Building among hot dog vendors has turned into a price war.

Since lawmakers have gone home, business has been slow. When one vendor lowered the price of his dogs from $2 to $1, the other vendor followed suit.

Now, families and student groups visiting the museums are the big winners -- taking advantage of the price war.
