Pedestrian Struck, Killed Along I-95 Near Benson

BENSON, N.C. — A pedestrian was killed on Interstate 95 near the Highway 50 bridge in Benson Tuesday.

Authorities believe 31-year-old Oscar P. Ramirez was on the interstate when he was hit by a tractor-trailer driven by Jerckarra Page, 34, of Morrisville.

No charges will be filed in the case because authorities believe Ramirez walked in front of the vehicle.
