Winds Kick Up Wednesday In Southeast Raleigh

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A family in Southeast Raleigh experienced the destructive forces of high winds during a summer storm Wednesday night.

Heavy winds, which peaked out at 60 miles per hour in the area, snapped a 50-foot tree in half. The tree fell on the family's car, smashing it.

No one was hurt. But the car was heavily damaged.
