DURHAM, N.C. — Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Wednesday in an alley near Spruce Street.
Durham officers were dispatched to a report of a gunshot wound at 1114 Spruce St. at 12:25 a.m.
When they arrived, officers found Anthony Lamont Lee, 18, of the same address, lying on his back in front of the house. Lee, who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Polixe say the shooting apparently occurred in an alley next to 1109 Spruce St. Investigators believe Lee was shot and killed following a verbal confrontation with an unknown person.
No charges have been filed.
