HOKE COUNTY, N.C. — The mother of a young girl abducted in 1999 now faces charges related to her daughter's kidnapping.
Wanda Pevia faces charges, including aiding and abetting statutory rape.
Pevia's daughter, Dana, was returned to her family last year after being kidnapped from her bus stop in Hoke County and taken to Mexico. Hector Frausto, who is accused of taking her, is behind bars.
Investigators tell WRAL Wanda Pevia knew about her daughter's relationship with the man and even helped cover it up.
