WILSON, N.C. — Police in Wilson are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Wachovia Bank branch Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to a robbery at the bank located at 1635 Ward Blvd. around 3 p.m.
Police say a white male wearing a fishing hat, a short-sleeve shirt and a pair of shorts entered the bank carrying a bag. They say he produced a robbery note and demanded money and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen on foot by Kroger.
The man is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 to 250 pounds.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
