The search warrants show item by item what U.S. marshals and FBI agents seized from David Passaro's home and his girlfriend's apartment. Federal agents also repossesed Passaro's vehicles and his safe-deposit box.
Agents searched Passaro's home on June 25. According to the search records, federal investigators recovered 16 items, including books on POWs in Iraq and guerrilla warfare.
The feds also gathered items from the apartment of Bonnie Heart, a Wake Forest police detective and the girlfriend who testified at Passaro's detention hearing.
Prosecutors grilled Heart about Passaro's money, documents and his passport. Then they played taped conversations between her and Passaro from the Wake County Jail.
Prosecutors said her testimony did not match up with what she said on the tapes.
The search records show that agents recovered nearly $8,500 in cash from Heart's home, much of it stuffed in Ziploc bags and unsealed envelopes.
Federal investigators also recovered items from Passaro's safe-deposit box, including his passport, his millitary orders and his will.
