HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A Sanford man is dead after a Thursday night accident in Harnett County.
Troopers say Terry Poindexter was driving northbound on Barbecue Church Road south of Broadway around 10:15 p.m. Thursday when he lost control of his Honda S-2000 on a curve.
Authorities say Poindexter overcorrected and was broadsided by a Ford Explorer.
Poindexter was killed in the accident. The driver of the Explorer was taken to the hospital, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
